Why did noone tell us about this?
We always liked Imani Coppola, ever since Legend Of A Cowgirl she got better and more interesting with each album. The 2008 Little Jackie project was a bit more plain fun pop, but still with brilliant lyrics, this probably being the most uplifting song we know.

Turns out the girl has had new material out since april!
Though we’re a tiny bit sad this marks the end of Little Jackie, the song isn’t a huge departure from that sound, the video is absolutely stunning, and it looks like she had a bit of a budget, so please let this release give her a bit of long overdue mainstream success! We know we are always quite positive, but really: just watch this video and you’ll see exactly why we love pop so much.

Edit: never mind, it appears Little Jackie is still very much alive, and they have a new album coming up. Amazing news! Not sure what’s going on with solo Imani then though.
