Having described the blog in short, it’s now time to get to know Gemma a bit better…

Hello Gemma, since when and why have you been using Tumblr?
I started using tumblr a couple of months ago, around August time because I happened to come across somebody’s blog and they inspired me to want to create my own. .

Where did your blog name come from?
decided on Under The Influence Of Love because it’s one of my favourite songs from Kylie Minogue’s album Light Years.

What about the title ‘Anything is possible if you just believe’ on the blog?
I just strongly believe that you can do anything you put your mind to, so I thought it would be nice to have it on my tumblr.

What’s the last post you ‘liked’, and why?
The last post I liked was this one :D It was so amazing to see Steps performing together again, and I realised I still knew all the dance moves

Besides checking your dashboard, are there any Tumblrs you check on a regular basis?
I check This Crazy World We Live In quite a lot because she posts lots of inspirational quotes and things and she posts lots of Harry Potter and funny stuff :-)

What’s the greatest thing you’ve ever seen on Tumblr?
Oh dear, that’s a tricky one. I think maybe this because I’m so happy that they’re back :’)

What’s the first CD you ever bought, and what do you think of it now?
The first CD I ever bought, I think was Oops.. I did it again by Britney Spears. At one time, that was my favourite ever album. I still do love it a lot now, but not as much. Britney is still one of my favourite artists.

Who are your favourite artists?
I love loads of artists. I think my favourite artists of all time are Steps, Kylie Minogue, Dannii Minogue and Britney Spears. I also really love Beyonce, Rihanna, Pink, Ricky Martin, Leona Lewis, Cheryl Cole and Miley Cyrus.

What’s your all-time favourite song?
My alltime favourite song is either Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart by Steps or Who Do You Love Now? by Dannii Minogue.

How about your favourite albums?
My alltime favourite albums are Blackout by Britney Spears, Buzz by Steps and Neon Nights by Dannii Minogue. At the moment, my favourite album is Buzz by Steps. I still love it as much as I did when it first came out.

If you could recommend one album to other readers which one would it be?
I would recommend Neon Nights by Dannii Minogue. I think Dannii’s music is very underrated, and Neon Nights has some awesome tunes, that are great to dance to.

What’s the best gig/concert you’ve ever been to?
The best concert I’ve ever been to would have to be Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite: Les Folies. I’d never been to see her before, and I never thought I’d actually get to go, so it was like a dream come true for me. We had standing tickets and we had a perfect view of the stage. When Kylie flew over the stage, I couldn’t believe how close to me she was. I couldn’t stop squealing. The best moment was when she first came out onto the stage, it was all so dramatic and I cried :’)

What’s your favourite song of 2011 thusfar?
I think the best song of 2011 was probably Higher by Taio Cruz featuring Kylie Minogue. Kylie looks so beautiful in the music video and it’s a lovely song to sing along to.

And what’s this year’s best album thusfar?
The best album of 2011 for me is Femme Fatale by Britney Spears. Britney definitely hasn’t lost her touch

I’d wish to meet Kylie Minogue. She’s such an inspiration to me and I just love her music so much.

What’s your favourite poprelated video?
This is my favourite ever Steps song. Faye performed this on her own at the Gold Tour and I just love the dancing and she sounds amazing.

What’s your dearest poprelated possession?
I think my dearest poprelated possession is my autograph from Faye Tozer. She’s my favourite member of Steps and I just can’t believe I got to meet her.

Besides music what are your main interests?
I don’t really have many interests. I spend most of my time on Tumblr and listening to music. I also love to read, I’m really into Harry Potter. That’s pretty much all I do.

Cher Lloyd is my guilty pleasure because I never really liked her much when she was a contestant on x factor and I don’t really like who she is as a person, but I just can’t stop myself from liking her music.

Why should people follow you on Tumblr?
My tumblr is full of Harry Potter, Steps, Kylie and just random pretty things and things that are funny.
